Way to go Charlie and Mike for an impressive finish at the combined MWC/NTC on Winnebago.

Gary and Frances Thornbury had a respectable finish in that huge field as well.

Way to go to both teams.

Thank you to the WBSA for giving us the chance to represent the Club. We had an absolute blast and caught lots of fish. We caught so many smaller under 14 in. fish that my hands are a mess from handling them. The first day we stayed in the "MUD" pulling Ripshads and Salmo Hornets. On day two we moved to an area on Winnebago called Little Black Bird Reef pulling the shallow and deeper water near it. This is where we got into the massive school of smaller fish hoping to weed out some keepers. It was a tough bite for us to find the bigger fish, but in all the experience was just amazing, and we can't thank you enough for giving us this invitation.

Congrats to both teams! Glad we could help you get there! I give a LOT of credit to ANYONE who is brave enough to fish unfamiliar waters like that, let alone a field of that size! That says a lot in itself. A lot of people don't like competing out of their "backyard" for fear of the unknown. Those that are brave enough to try it deserve a LOT of credit. I know some of the most interesting places I have fished have been away from Erie, competing against people I had never met! And I learned a lot because of it. I hope that both teams had an enjoyable experience and I for one am proud that you are members of WBSA!! :P

Good job guys and gal. Nice to see club members have good finishes against a high caliber field like that. Be proud of what you accomplished out there.

We fished the NTC and MWC as well. What an excellent job by all of the staff at the MWC The fishing is only half of the fun. Its the people that you meet that are awesome Its nice to go to an event like that and have your competition try to help you find fish. We did manage to get the 2nd biggest fish on the first day so our trip was paid for. That tournament just goes to show tht competetive walleye fishing is alive and well and will be for years to come I would like to see more river tournaments in the future though but wherever they decide to have them I will be there with bells on Mike Bisdorf
